Hello,

Sorry I'm a bit late with this issue. It's been a bit of a sickly
household here over the last few days and I spent the best part
of yesterday in bed with a fever. OK now though - well, as OK as
I'll ever be! 

After announcing the change to a two part issue last week, I
received a letter from one subscriber saying that he couldn't see
any point in the change, if I was going to send both parts in one
email, as he was receiving them. At first I erroneously told him
it was impossible he was getting both parts as one email because
I'd sent them separately, with a minute or so between each. He
promptly replied, forwarding the proof of his claim!

Only then did I realize the problem. His personal preferences at
Topica for receiving Biz Bits were set to 'Digest' as opposed to
'Individual Messages'. So if you too are receiving both parts of
Biz Bits in one email, the solution is to log into Topica using
the address you are subscribed with, and then change your
preference settings.

Last week I ran a competition as part of the 'Voting booth'
section. I was offering a free ad in Biz Bits for the senders of
the best 3 vote replies. The idea was get some feedback from you
on the format change and how you value the different sections of
Biz Bits. Unfortunately, I obviously didn't make it clear enough
that this special vote was in two parts, and that both needed to
be completed along with your comments in order to be considered.

As a result, I received many votes that didn't include the
ratings table which made up the second part of the vote question.
For this reason, I have not yet chosen the winners. Instead, I
have decided to run the vote again this week, to give everyone a
fair chance of winning. If you completed *both* parts of the vote
last week, you may be excused from voting this week. ;-) I have

in fact one of my old favorites, 'Mr Fire!' Joe Vitale. It must
be a year or so ago since I first bookmarked and devoured Joe's
site. Actually, if you have been with me for a while already, you
may have already visited the site a few months back when I
included it in the 'SITES TO CHECK OUT' section.

Personally, I don't think of Joe as an Internet 'guru', the term
is so loosely applied these days that it doesn't do justice to
the few of his calibre online. Joe is a highly talented
professional in the original sense and a true master of his
craft. He enthuses about the insights of old masters like P.T.
Barnum, Mark Twain and many others, delighting in sharing his
re-discoveries and teaching you how to apply their skills to
devastating effect today. You won't hear Joe telling you about
the latest so-called 'secret' or 'trick'. All of Joe's work is
based on solid, time-tested and proven methodology.

His book on P.T. Barnum ranked #37 in Amazon's sales popularity
list when it sold out, whilst his audio program "The Power of
Outrageous Marketing," is a 1999 bestseller for
Nightingale-Conant (and it was only released in May!). In fact,
Joe's name carries so much weight that even Mark Joyner, the  CEO
